SAS Data Migration Specialist

SAS Specialist will develop, implement and execute a data migration plan from SAS 7.2 to the new upgraded SAS 9.3
 

• Large government organisation – approximately 4 month contract

• Data migration expertise and hands on support to financial projects
  

Here is a fantastic opportunity for a SAS Data Migration Specialist to join this large government organisation, approximately an initial 4 month contract. 

The SAS Specialist will develop, implement and execute a data migration plan from SAS 7.2 to the new upgraded SAS 9.3.

This individual will work with the system administrator and internal subject matter experts to plan and execute the data migration as well as identify and implement any SAS portfolio reporting. 

The primary outcome is a migration strategy!

To be considered for the position:

• 5+ years experience in the migration of large data sets. 
  
• Knowledge in financial analysis with a strong background in data manipulation. 
  
• ETL and data warehousing experience in support of BI and reporting systems 
  
• Demonstrated experience in participating in project planning sessions with business analysts to analyse business requirements and outline proposed system solutions. 
  
• Understanding of SAS programming in particular BI and Data Integration (DI) and associated features and their applications in financial or billing systems. 
  
• Understanding of relational database components and theory. 
  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  
• Working effectively both individually and in a team environment, and with non-technical team members. 
  
• Assist with the design and development of analytic datasets. 
  
• Knowledge of SAS ETL(Extract , Transform , Load) 
  
• Knowledge of SAS Programming tools. 
  
• Excellent knowledge of SAS programming and associated features and their applications in financial or billing systems.
